Building Inspections and Microbiological Sampling
ACC’s staff has the training and experience required to perform comprehensive building inspections and microbiological sampling to determine the locations and type of mold growing in a building.
Moisture Testing of Building Materials
Mold needs two things to survive, a food source (i.e. dirt, building materials) and moisture. As a result, the key to controlling mold is to prevent building materials from moisture. During our mold inspection, ACC personnel (Mold Inspectors) use moisture probes to identify the moisture content of building materials and determine the sources of leaks and water intrusion.
Infrared Photography
Many times moisture is present behind walls. To properly identify moisture and leaks behind walls, ACC uses an infrared camera. This camera enables ACC mold inspectors to determine the exact location of water intrusion and moisture so that sets can be taken to remove saturated materials and abate all mold containing materials.
Abatement Design and Management
ACC provides complete mold abatement design and management services, obtains bids from several contractors and monitors the work of the contractor to ensure all mold is removed and the area is restored to its original condition.
Prevention and Training Programs
ACC routinely works with property owners and managers to develop mold prevention programs and provide mold training training to their employees on how to identify and respond to water intrusion and moisture problems in a timely manner. The training also covers the personal protective equipment and procedures to be followed to control mold in buildings.
