In accordance with HUD guidelines, ACC provided HUD lead in sections of 4 apartment complexes. ACC inspected the appropriate number of apartment units considered to be representative of the subject complex. The inspection included testing of all “testing combinations” as defined by HUD. Sampling was performed with a Niton X-ray Florescence Spectrum Analyzer (XRF). ACC prepared a report of the findings which included the address, location of apartment units inspected and/or common areas, date of the inspection, inspector certificates, all XRF readings including calibration check readings, percentage of each component that test positive, a description of the testing protocol used, XRF instrument information, information regarding owner’s legal obligations to disclose test results to tenants and/or purchasers, and final classification of all testing combinations into positive or negative categories.
